YUV is a subscription-based platform that transforms professional hair colouring by combining digital tools with smart hardware. It helps stylists and salons create precise colour formulas, save them for future use, and minimise waste.
Challenge
Stylists often face complex colour mixing processes, limited visibility of past formulas, and time pressure in salon environments. The challenge was to design a simple, intuitive digital workflow that would support accuracy and efficiency without interrupting the creative process.

Analysed competitor platforms and gathered stylist insights to uncover common pain points in formula creation and management.User Journeys
Mapped the stylist workflow from client consultation to final formula, identifying where digital support could reduce errors and save time.Wireframing & Prototyping
Developed wireframes and interactive prototypes to test different flow options and validate ease of use with target users.UI Design
Delivered clean, functional, and brand-consistent interfaces that made key data (ratios, shades, history) quick to read and act on.
Outcome
The redesigned digital experience improved stylist confidence, streamlined colour mixing, and supported YUV’s mission to make professional hair colouring smarter and more sustainable.
